Jan/Feb Newsletter: The corporate website has landed and we want your feedback
After months of anticipation and a number of sleepless nights, the Forestry South Africa corporate website went live on 1 January and was officially launched to members on 27 January and the public on 28 January.
The new website provides a single digital platform where FSA members and the public have access to information about forestry in general, as well as the roles, functions and structures of FSA. By showcasing the industry initiatives, environmental partnerships, community outreach and forestry-related recreational activities, the new corporate website allows the industry to better position itself as a significant contributor to the South African economy, society and the environment.
For FSA members there is the additional benefit of the member’s login page, home to the new FSA database. The database is a one-stop-shop for FSA members to access forestry research, photographs and other key documents, including annual reports, financials, presentations, legislation and certification documents.
To access the database, you need to register, upon which you will receive an email stating your registration has been successful and was awaiting authorisation. Once authorised, you will be able to enjoy the added value of the members only section of the website and the wealth of information it contains.
We hope you enjoy the new site and look forward to any feedback, website@forestrysouthafrica.co.za, especially feedback that can help us improve and adapt our website to keep pace with the ever evolving forestry sector.
