• Mechanical Engineer’s Certificate of Competency (GCC).

Forestry career: Two years

I manage various infrastructure-related projects throughout the Mondi business to ensure that they are executed within budget, on schedule and that they comply with all relevant standards.

WHY I LOVE WORKING IN THE FORESTRY SECTOR

I am motivated by the daily events that my work entails; each challenge is different and often requires a unique approach. As an engineer, I strive to provide solutions and I get to do that each and every day. I would like to grow in my career at Mondi Forestry, particularly because we are moving towards precision forestry.

MY ADVICE TO THOSE EXPLORING A CAREER IN FORESTRY

Take time to learn, ask a lot of questions and be kind to yourself. Believe in yourself while you develop. Grow from criticism and find ways to complement your natural strengths for every role in your career. As a side note, save and invest in your financial future from the beginning.
